Originally released theatrically as Freddie as F.R.O.7. in 1992, this film was renamed and revamped for its home video release in 1995. The new version (the version here), now named Freddie the Frog, featured the narration of James Earl Jones and included a new intro. Oddly, the old intro scene was put back into the movie in a different location, and additional editing was done.

This animated film and subsequent video release was the sole production accomplished by Hollywood Motion Pictures (London) Ltd.
