Twenty years ago two computer geniuses created Echelon, a computer that recently became sentient and has decided to kill off the "virus" that is humans. One of the two saw the potential for catastrophe even then, and wanted to stop it, but the government had him killed. Now his daughter Molly and a human-like robots called Adam will try to stop Echelon. They are being pursued by Cain and Able, two human-like robots on the bad side, and government agents, who think they are behind the trouble Echelon is creating
