The Very Wicked rolled into the Cape Town music scene in a wave of reverb, feedback and melodies of love, life, death and outer space.

Pulling influences from legends such as The Velvet Underground, The 13th Floor Elevators & Spacemen 3, to hero’s and flag-bearers of the modern age, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, My Bloody Valentine & The Black Angels, The Very Wicked are fueled by a love and admiration for the psychedelic side of rock n roll.

The five-piece create between themselves a wall of sound that is something much bigger than the sum of its parts. Two screaming, weeping and weaving electric guitars lead the way as three part vocal harmonies float like feathers over the ocean of sound below. Behind them a thumping, thunderous rhythm section brings the beast to life, while the drone of an electric organ creates an aura of mystery and tension.

April 2014 saw the online release of their long-awaited debut full length album "You're The Everything In Us".
