Cartouches Gauloises (2007) torrent

Also called "Summer of '62" Cartouches Gauloises is a film about the time immediately before Algeria became independent from French colonial rule. It explores the history of this turbulent period through the eyes of an arab boy, Ali and his french and arab friends.

Due to the conflict raging round them the french boys one by one return to France leaving Ali almost alone.

It is a poignant tale enriched by stunning cinematography. The director captures the world of the boys well.
