JONATHAN LETHEM (b. 1964) is an American novelist, essayist and short story writer.
His first novel, GUN, WITH OCCASIONAL MUSIC (1994), a genre work that mixed elements of science fiction and detective fiction. It was followed by three more science fiction novels. In 1999, Lethem published MOTHERLESS BROOKLYN, a National Book Critics Circle Award-winning novel that achieved mainstream success. In 2003, the semi-autobiographical bildungsroman FORTRESS OF SOLITUDE became a New York Times Best Seller.
This collection contains a broad selection of Lethem's work, including all the published novels to date, a short story compilation, and two volumes of essays. I have also included CONVERSATIONS WITH JONATHAN LETHEM, a collection of fourteen interviews, conducted over a decade and a half.
