ADX - Ultimatum (2014)

Founded in 1982, the group was soon noticed by a brilliant and original speed metal (especially as this style is born), with lyrics inspired by the particular history of France and its classical literature, which gives the group a real personality. Among the themes in the lyrics: the French Revolution and the Old Regime, the Marquis de Sade, Dark Forest and the Arthurian legend (see Chrétien de Troyes), Notre-Dame de Paris and Victor Hugo, etc.. Upon first listen, the particular style of ADX recognizes.

ADX takes its name from the ancient abbreviation of mild steel metallurgy (see interview on The Black Horde Betov) because the group, although producing powerful music has always be very melodic, especially in solis guitar. "For us to our first hard side of heavy mingled with softer melodies" (Betov, op. Cit)

After a first demo soon noticed by the press, ADX recorded his first album, others will follow. Supremacy gets excellent reviews to Japan (Burn magazine, etc.). With its success, both discography that stage (concerts Sacred Reich, Coroner, Sodom ... (among other major groups of the scene speed metal / thrash international) and a little cramped on the French market, ADX tries a career abroad with the Noise label in 1991 and recorded an album in English. This album does not meet the ADX success and left the stage in 1992.

In 1998, the French label XIII Metal republishes Execution. ADX is used to reform and provides a unique concert in Paris at the Locomotive: it is a success. This restores the moral musicians but Betov leaves the group recorded a new CD, Resurrection. The group disappears again in the news. In 2001, at the Tribute to Trust, they recorded Templars.

The group reformed in 2006 with a new formation (Bétov is back, but Marquis and Deuch go away and are replaced by Klod and BY), driven by its fans through the internet to return to the front of the stage and save new albums and tour again.

Armored Division out May 15, 2008 on a label that is reborn from its ashes also: Bernett Records, who in 1980 signed bands like Metallica, Venom, Tokyo Blade, Q5 ... This album gets a good success, as climbed to first place in sales in category Hard-Rock/Metal on Amazon.fr and 82nd general catalog. The tour then takes occur abroad (Spain, Switzerland, Germany ...) and is published in July 2010, always at Bernett, a new CD, "Terror", including old songs remastered and re-recorded, from their album "The Terror" released in 1986 and a few unreleased demos, all included in a metal box in a limited series.

The band released in October 2011 a new album entitled "Immortal" on the record label 13a and including fourteen new songs accompanied by a bonus DVD of concert Raismesfest festival 2009.

February 2013, following the departure of Klod (bass) and several hearings, Julien ROUSSEAU (ex Fallen Joy) who joined ADX as the official bassist. The first date of the new line-up is organized together with Moonspell in Limoges April 20, 2013, ADX then enters a phase of composition before resuming concerts in October and return to the studio before the end of 2013.
