A documentary following the life of Yuri Alexeivich Gagarin the first man in Space. Showing rare archive footage of the early Russian Space programme, together with previously unseen interviews with the first Soviet Cosmonaut team. The film was made in honour of the 50th anniversary of man's first flight into Space 12th April 1961
