Purchasing a house in one of the oldest parts of the Medina in Fez, the old Moroccan capital, would be a challenge that most of us would shy away from.

But Suzanna Clarke and her husband Sandy McCutcheon say that despite the obvious drawbacks of purchasing a 300 year old house on the other side of the world, the cultural and historical richness of Morocco awakens all their senses.
