Danny Stone and his partner in crime guitarist Mickey Ratt founded Wine South with base player Pete Black and drummer Ray Martin. The band soon established a reputation as a ferocious party band.

Signed to Devil D Records, and with songs like "Wolf In the Night" (an absolute anthem to the love hunters of the world) and the epic saga "Lion from the North" leading the way, Thrills in the night was an instant success.

Wine South was one of the heavier bands to come out of the early-'00s Norrköping Metal Scene and quickly rose to international infamy thanks to their shock rock image, lyrics, and live concerts. Since their debut album almost was made to perfection the band found it difficult to evolve and are still struggeling to release a follow up album.
