Looking at all the VHS-style filters out there, I thought this would be an easy job. Simply cut the video to what I wanted and apply a filter, eh? The problem was, nothing was right. For those of us who lived these years, we know what VHS playback looks like, and none of these filters actually hit the mark. I decided then that the only way to make the movie look like it was playing on a VCR was to actually play it on a VCR, and so I did.
