The fourth studio long player from the New Jersey-based CCM singer/songwriter, the Fortunate Fall Records-issued Inheritance offers up nine inspirational and atmospheric songs culled from Protestant and Catholic hymn traditions, along with two originals that were co-written with singer/songwriter Matt Maher. The Pledgemusic-funded LP opens with the 1000-year-old Latin hymn "Ubi Caritas," which Assad describes as "the perfect way to begin a collection of songs that shaped up to be a love note from me to the Church."
