With a theocratic dictatorship trying to impose its Islamic norms on the younger generation representing over 60% of the overall population, Iran is hardly known for its vibrant metal music scene. Iranian metal music artists run the risk of imprisonment as playing metal is deemed illegal by the Islamic authorities. However, this has not stopped them from playing the kind of music they hold most dear to their hearts. The present complication is a collection of metal music from various Iranian artists. I have tried to include different metal genres to satisfy all tastes.
