What a show. What a plot. What dialog. What just happened? 

I am all for a good tangent for sci fi shows. This movie however has a script that seems like it needed one more. Instead of 2 movies dealing out some heavy sci fi concepts, we have one that seems rushed and lacks tone. Or rather the tone goes haywire with homoerotic android musings coupled with what could be a message that men are no longer reliable. Did not try to look for this, it just was weird to observe this in Alien Covenant. Like this is the fad now, to have strong women, and this movie is no different. This franchise started with a strong female protagonist but in today’s environment, this is no longer a good selling point. Seems like just another movie packaged and prepped by the same huge movie manufacturing plant with the same seasonings.

Either way, it was a shame that the character Elizabeth was killed off. This caused a void in the movie. Like when Hicks did not return for the third installment. Something was off right from the beginning.

Now the flick has edits that fix a few problems especially with how the tone gets muddled with what looks to be actual slapstick. See what you did marvel? See what influence you have on entertainment? Anyway, the edits seek to add more depth to the mystic of what goes on in an android head. A few plot details have been altered. You have to figure out a few things, the movie does not explain everything.

Spoilers somewhat! Next are possible spoilers! Now the plot moves along more like what is told. No movie with scenes that explain everything to the audience. So now the plot has less baggage. Some scenes removed to add tension and less un intentional comedy. Less gore too. Less sexual tension with the androids. The movie now comments on living after death by way of commerce. Deep? You decide.
