I remember seeing this and was well, satisfied. On account of that Spock was back.

However, the journey was not without some problems. Christopher Lloyd is an awesome actor but GREAT SCOTT, as a Klingon it’s hard to see the Klingon over his other characters. This sidelined the experience.

You can also remove some of the humor injected to pad the running time. Like the over confident Excelsior Captain for one. Some of the dialog just did not add up.

By removing most of the dialog from the Klingon’s actions, it comes across more brutal. Overcoming the past characters Christopher played. You can see him trying to be Klingon. Thinking like a Klingon, kinda thing.

Now the movie comes across a tad more serious. A tad more Trek perhaps.
