back-up, in case of an incomplete download of the Astronomy Rar file (99,3 complete).

This is a greatly extended and revised collection of Willy Ley's essays (period 1930-1969). Parts were released earlier. Date stamp: 2015-10.


Format html (and html only), utf-8, graphics jpg, png (a handful of gifs). Single CSS style sheet (WL_style.css). This should be copied in case of file migration out of the folder tree. The 300+ essays/books (plus illust.) are packed into 4 thematic rar files (Astronomy, Rocket-History, Math-Material-Science, Cypto-Zoology).


Most of the essays were gleaned from pulp magazines. Publishing history in the 'masthead' of each essay.

Some of the source material can be found in the Internet Archive (archive.org). This is the handcrafted version.

Artwork

All original figures (diagrams and drawing) are included. Crypto-Zoology, the wildlife illustrations are by and large superseded. Retained for the sake of authenticity. Supplemented by more recent artwork.
