This torrent is a compilation of:

-The legit, patchable, working FalloutLauncher.exe (version 1.0.0.0)

INSTRUCTIONS - FOLLOW EXACTLY:

FOR THE "RELOADED" VERSION (aka pre-cracked FalloutLauncher.exe version)
1) Install Fallout 3
2) Navigate to your install directory and make a copy of the FalloutLauncher.exe within that directory.
3) Rename the newly made copy FalloutLauncher-something.exe
Fill in whatever you want for "something"... like... "FalloutLauncher-cracked.exe"
Also, make sure to keep it in the install directory along with the original.
4) Copy the LEGIT FalloutLauncher.exe from the Materials folder provided by this torrent to the install directory, overwriting the original.
5) Run the LEGIT, torrent-provided patch (Fallout3_v1.0.0.15_English_US.exe), or a newer one found at your favorite game files site (eg. FileFront). See the "Important Notices" section below for more information.
6) Edit the shortcuts for your desktop and start menu to point to the -something launcher or create new ones that point to it.
Alternatively, you can point the shortcuts straight to Fallout3.exe if you'd rather not get the splash screen. See the "Important Notices" section below for more information.
7) Enjoy! It should of patched fine. Lock and load!

ATTENTION!: DO NOT USE THE STARFORCE CRACK. IT IS UNNECESSARY!

The -cracked.exe copy is only provided via the torrent for "oops" situations, and in case you ripped a legit disc off a friend or something, as THE CRACKED LAUNCHER IS NEEDED TO CHANGE VIDEO SETTINGS AND LOAD MODS/EXPANSIONS! One way or another, make sure you can access the Launcher's splash screen :)

After patching, the game will fail to launch if you do not have the legit CD inserted into your optical drive ("CD-ROM") or a working mini-image mounted via Daemon Tools, et al. This is NORMAL! It's trying to use the newly patched FalloutLauncher.exe that contains working SecureROM (Starforce) technology. Please use the -cracked version to launch the game from now on, or...

However, if you'd rather not be prompted with the splash screen every time you start the game, feel free to point your shortcuts to fallout3.exe to circumvent seeing that screen.

IF YOU HAVE RIPPED THE _STORE-BOUGHT_, _UNCRACKED_ DVD:
Follow the directions above, except go straight from step 1 to step 5. Instead of steps 2-4, simply copy FalloutLauncher-cracked.exe from the Materials folder (provided by this torrent) to your install directory.
