The Lord of the Rings: Total War Version 2.0

01. You must first have Rome Total War: Alexander already installed!
02. Run LOTRTW_v2.0_OB.exe
03. Make sure you point the installer to your Rome - Total Rome folder
04. Once installed, right-click and drag your RomeTW-ALX.exe to the desktop and Create Shorcut
05. Right-click on the new short-cut and choose Properties
06. In the "Target" window in properties, ADD this line at the end: -mod:alexander/lotrtw so the line may look like this:

"C:Program Files\Actision\Rome - Total War\RomeTW-ALX.exe" -mod:alexander/lotrtw

note that it may not look exactly as that. DO NOT CHANGE OR DELETE ANYTHING BETWEEN THE QUOTATION MARKS.

07. Once done, right-click again on the short-cut and rename it to LOTR-TW
You're done and can play "The Lord of the Rings: Total War" 2.0 Open Beta.
08. Install Patch v2.04 to
C:\Program Files\Activision\Rome - Total War

Warning: if you want to play in LOTR-TW-The Last Alliance, it is necessary to install Patch v2.03b

09. Install LotR-TW_MusicPack.exe and lotrtw2.05.exe (the new sound addon) to
C:\Program Files\Activision\Rome - Total War\alexander\lotrtw

10. Install LotR-TW_GFX_Addon_V_1.1.exe
Important note: You must delete events.IDX found in
C:\Program Files\Activision\Rome - Total War\alexander\lotrtw\data\sounds


Optional: if you want to have the opening movies of the mod to be LOTR-TW as well, just go into your Rome -Total War folder and run the file Opening_Movie_Swapper.bat
It will swap the original movies with LOTR-TW movies. If you want the original movies back, just run the file again. None of the files are deleted, they're only swapped around.

LOTR-TW-The Last Alliance 0.2b
This patch can be used over any version of the lotr-tw open beta: 2.0, 2.01, 2.02 or 2.03b

01. Unpack it to your Rome: Total War folder. for example: C:\Program Files\Activision\Rome - Total War.
02. Execute the file JSGME.exe and move the mod LOTR-TW: The Last Alliance 0.2b to the right side to activate the mod. You can close the program when finished.
03. Then, you can execute the JSGME.exe and move the mod to the left again to dissable it and restore all the original files.
04. Install first file (export_descr_advice.txt)to:
...alexander\lotrtw\data
05. Install second hotfix1 file (background_script.txt) to:
...alexander\lotrtw\data\scripts\show_me\
06. Install buildings.rar to
C:\Program Files\Activision\Rome - Total War\alexander\lotrtw\data\ui\greeks
This the new pictures for buildings of elfes
07. Run Last Alliance using the shortcut you normally use for LOTRTW, not Alexander

It is important to remove the file ...\alexander\lotrtw\data\world\maps\campaign\Alexander\map.rwm file everytime you install a new version. Also, it is recomendable to restart the game before starting a new campaign.
