2. Run the "L4D Standalone Patch 1.17" which is included in the "Extras" folder
and during installation make sure you get the game install path right (default: C:\Program Files\Left 4 Dead), then choose your player name for online play
(can be changed later through editing rev.ini in your game install directory).
