Xbox 360 Fall 2008 - Dashboard Update Leaked torrent

Sure you guys can try to download and burn the file to a disk. The xbox does think its an update but it doesn\\\'t install it, it says something about the internet connection. I wanted to start a new discussion give me your opinions on this so far.

I can confirm with you that the update is legit but it doesn\\\'t work on our consoles.

The way you can view the files is by mounting it with daemon tools and exploring it and simply draging the files to your desktop and to look a little at it you can open it with wordpad or whatever you use. I found a program called wxPIRS and it shows you what is installed in the update file called (su200760000_00000000)

Try to google wxPIRS and download that and open the other files try it out for yourself.

Finally if you own a debug kit you may try to convert the xex files, patch them and flash them on it but I guess it may require specific kernel imports which are not existing on the currently lastest available debug kernel.


Far as I can tell the xex\\\'s contained in the PIRS archives are valid (and completely free of region stuff) - though I am relying on xextool\\\'s output for that info rather than *knowing* how to verify the authenticity of the files with something like a hex editor.

Update:

We found a way to get the update to work but only on a console with infectus mod chip. But soon we will be able to make it available to everyone.
