BR Blue Class 26

Constructed by Birmingham Railway & Carriage Company between 1957-59, the initial 20 locomotives spent the first part of their lives running surburban services out of Kings Cross.

However from 1960 all were allocated to Scotland

Illustrated is a later variant with nose doors removed

D5300-D5346, later TOPS 26001-26046


-BR Blue Highland 26

This variant has Horn cowl cover , front spotlights and front connecting doors.

Spotlights and mini snow plows were common fitment for Scottish based 26's
