Soon to be banned: Utah voter list torrent

This is unrestricted, public domain data which some members of the Utah Legislature want to ban publication of. I bought this legally in June 2013.

I bought it and built a website with it because it is public information. What part of PUBLIC did they not understand? A privacy rights activist warned a legislative committee that if somebody buys this list (with names, birth dates, addresses, party and the dates the person voted.) there's no Utah law saying they cannot publish it on the internet. They made their chess move and now they want to take it back after the fact. They face angry constituents and they want the voters to think the problem is solved by making me shut down the website after thousands of downloads have already taken place.

We need to spread this heavy and thick all over the web. The fact that so many politicians want to ban it is reason enough to do so. I think one issue is, some U.S.A. States leave out the cops and judges but in Utah, they leave out the undercover detectives. Their choice. They have no right to suppress the distribution of true facts already lawfully obtained from a public record.
