Overview

Windmill Software Inc. released 9 games between 1982 and 1984. They were all for the IBM PC, with CGA graphics (some using the weird, rarely used mode 160x100 16 colours), and most were inspired, based, or plain clones of other games. Moreover, they were all done between three individuals. But in an era where the PC was just starting, they had quite a success in the gaming world. Particularly Digger has extended its legacy until today, with the excellent remake Digger Remastered.

I was able to enjoy some of these games back in the day, when they were already classics. And now I'm compiling all my memories, information, data, games, into this collection, for everyone's enjoyment. The purpose is to make a small time capsule with Windmill stuff, to preserve all this information as homage to the three minds behind the games.

They don't have repeated alternate/hack versions, most are PC Booter conversions to DOS executables, and a couple have floppy images (5.25" disks). There are even original sources donated by the developers.

Both Digger Remastered and Styx Remastered, with kind respect to Andrew Jenner, their creator.

There's also an old utility, kind of a file commander, called PC BOSS. Very similar to PC Tools. Simpler, elegant, and strangely quick to use. And a very rare demo disk with four demo versions of Digger, Conquest, Styx, and Rollo And The Brush Brothers.
