PILE FOUNDATION

01. GENERAL

The scope of work shall include the design and provision of all materials, equipments and labour for completing the foundation system as per the general scheme shown on the drawings and as directed by the Engineer.

The work shall be executed by approved specialist piling contractors. All relevant details of the method of piling and the proposed plan shall be furnished to the Engineer at the time of seeking approval for engaging the piling contractor.

“Foundation System” shall comprise of piles caps and raft pile cap beams. The Contractor shall be responsible for carrying out all consequential variation in the substructure profiles/dimensions shown in the scheme drawings at no additional cost.

The Contractor shall confirm the Engineer that the pile placed to the depth and stratum proposed shall provide the required capacity. Any modifications required in the depth or size shall be done without extra cost
