Hi all, hope you enjoy this game. I personally thought it was great fun first time through, when it was new. See the "Drowned God Description" for some contemporary reviews and info.
Interesting observation: there's a character in this who reminds me now of the G-Man in Half-Life. You'll see him briefly in a few scenes: long-faced, nothing to say, just staying silent and a few steps ahead of you. Then -- he's gone. Also, a lot of the atmosphere is quite reminiscent of "The X-Files", which I believe had not yet debuted when this did. The nameless character just mentioned in this game, and also the G-Man for that matter, are both reminiscent too of "The Smoking Man" from X-Files.
COINCIDENCE . . . ? ! ?
Also, it's best to invoke Windows 95 compatibiity and force 640 x 480 resolution. Worst comes to worst, you can set up a Windows 95 or 98 MS Virtual Machine and run it inside that.
The scanned game manual includes solutions to a couple of the first puzzles.
