Now you have the original Heretic II game fully updated with all the maps,textures, etc... and installed on your computer.

*NOTE: browse your "Heretic II" directory for "Heretic2.exe" and create a shortcut on your desktop so you can click on it

* Important Notes:

* Note: You must Allow Heretic II and Gamespy through the Windows firewall to play online.
* Note: you must restart the computer afterwards to allow Heretic II and Gamespy through the Windows firewall.
*Note: After you install "Heretic II" you have to open "Heretic II" folder and right click on Heretic II.exe/go to properties/click compatability mode and set the compatability mode for the "Heretic II" to Windows XP service pack2, 8bit - 256 color. (photo included). Also make a shortcut of "Heretic II" onto your Desktop to easy start the game.

* Note: Sometimes when starting gameSpy3D (gamespy.exe) you might get a "runtime error" message. Just close it and restart it until it fully opens. It does work and display servers.
*Note: The network ethernet card settings for Heretic II internet protocal version6 (TCP/IPv6) (should be unchecked). Especially if you are hosting. It's been known to cause lag.

* Important Notes:

* Note: Your playing config is found in the "C:\Program Files or (x86)\Heretic II\base\config folder"
* You need to set your video card settings appropiately and it is best to leave sound on default settings if you
are having any sound problems.

First start the game and allow it to play through the introduction. Make sure all Video and Audio card settings correspond to your computer system.
