"Walking Tall" was a trilogy of 1970s movies based on the life of the late
small-town sheriff Buford Pusser, a man who not only used a gun but a big stick to enforce the law! Joe Don Baker played Sheriff Pusser in the original film, and after the death of his friend a year later.... was played in the other two movies by Bo Svenson.

Even though the real Pusser died in a car accident in 1974, this TV series sequel brings back Svenson in the role in early 1981 !! Maybe Executive Producer David Gerber was thinking, "What if Sherrif Pusser hadn't died ? " The series did.
NBC cancelled this well done, but low-rated show after just 7 episodes.
