The miniseries itself seemed to suffer from old school tv effects and the production running out of money. Possibly from hiring Rock Hudson for the lead. Back in the day, there was a famous Rock. It was Rock Hudson.

What we got was a show that tried hard to recreate the pages in the book. Love the show or hate it, the script followed the book very close.

This edit is to take the narrative and make it more palatable for the mind. The show does have a good take on what life is and such. Explores what it takes to understand life and what it means.
