After a three-year freeze, Turkey has restarted negotiations to join the European Union. Tourism and the economy are booming. And yet, the country remains one of the biggest jailers of journalists in the world. Intimidation and self-censorship are said to be commonplace. Following her reporting on protests in Istanbul last summer, the BBC's Selin Girit, was the target of a hate campaign on Twitter began by a senior Turkish politician. For Our World, Selin returns to Turkey to investigate why journalists so often find themselves under attack from the authorities.
