7 Days, The Complete Collection (480p) [H265] {AC3 2 0} torrent

Greetings from Never Never Land. Ladies and gentlemen, it is my pleasure to present the first-ever release of the 7 Days series at DVD quality. More than 17 years since the show went off the air, this release feels more than a little overdue.

Prior to this release, the only version of the program available for download was a 352p TiVO rip of the 2004 syndication on Spike TV.

DISCLAIMER: There are some differences between the version that appeared originally on TV on UPN (of which no recording is publicly available), the Spike TV syndication, and this release. IT IS IMPORTANT TO UNDERSTAND THE DIFFERENCES BETWEEN THE VARIOUS RELEASES BEFORE COMPLAINING ABOUT THIS ONE.

The one true disadvantage of the VEI (this) release is that the soundtrack, although of very high quality (unlike the TV-rip version), is NOT identical to what aired on television. For example, all copyrighted songs (and mysteriously, at least one song created for the program for which there is no discrete copyright)
were substituted with different music by VEI in order to avoid paying royalties. For instance, in S01E04 "Come Again?", "I Will Survive" is completely absent, replaced with a generic disco beat.

In addition to this rather striking difference, the video was heavily interlaced. Our release team has deinterlaced the video in the rendering process for your enjoyment. Had deinterlacing not been necessary, the image would appear crisper than it does. However, this version is still substantially better-looking
than what was previously available. That said, I think it's a shame that VEI did not take the time to digitally master this program properly. What's more, some features you may remember from the televised series are absent. For example, the preview narrated by Alan Scarfe at the beginning of S01E07, "Doppelganger (Part 2)" is not included. The VEI release featured no section for deleted scenes or DVD extras, and in fact, as mentioned before, had less content in some cases than what aired on TV. However, it appears that S01E04 did, indeed, feature a single, brief scene that did not air on television. That said, it was the only deleted scene that I happened to notice (at least at first glance) in the collection.

I would invite you to check out the TV-rip of this series if you want to compare and contrast the differences between the two releases, as I am sure I have not delineated them all here. However, I am confident that this release represents a useful addition to the version that already exists. However, I do not endorse it as an out-and-out replacement, since the soundtrack is clearly significantly different.

That said, it is my profound pleasure and indeed, honor, to present to you for the first time, in DVD-quality, the 1998 UPN series, 7 Days. It is truly one of the great, lost treasures of television and something deserving of preservation and admiration. I hope that this series inspires you as it once inspired me.
