``Spin Waves and Magnetic Excitations'' describes both simple spin waves (magnons) and complicated excitations in magnetic systems. Wide classes of magnetic substances are taken into consideration such as ferro- and antiferromagnetic dielectrics and itinerant magnets which contain both d- and f-electrons.
