FlightGear Atlas Map Tracking PNG Companion CD's created by me in summer 2006 over many weeks as their is no other source of these images other than this torrent.

Atlas aims to produce and display high quality charts of the world for users of FlightGear, an open source flight simulator. This is achieved through two main parts: The map creator (simply called Map) and the Atlas viewer.


ATLAS is a separate navigation program you can run alongside FlightGear flight simulator, it is best run on a separate PC via a Local Area Network as it can put a lot of strain on your resources on the same PC as where FlightGear is running, even on a separate PC it is wise to not zoom out to far as memory can rapidly be swallowed up! This project is an old one, I have been told and has been abandoned by the original developer however it does still provide a useful resource as an add on package to the FlightGear project which I have seen go from strength to strength.
