In this course I will first introduce you the the basics of neoliberal globalization from a progressive point of view and then share some strategies of using this knowledge to read, teach, and write about literature.

Most literature is produced within a cultural, political, and economic context and one cannot really teach or write as a progressive teacher or a writer without, at least, a cursory knowledge of the system within which our identities are produced.
