West, Bruce & Laing was formed in 1972 on the initiative of Felix Pappalardi (producer of Cream and producer/musician of Mountain). The band consisted of Jack Bruce (ex-“Cream”) and former Pappalardi bandmates from “Mountain” guitarist/vocalist Leslie West and drummer Corky Laing. Obviously, the format of the supergroup repeated the format of "Cream", and in some ways their character can even be called similar. But still, what “West, Bruce & Laing” significantly differs from “Cream” is in expression and aggression.
