In this chapter we will discuss only a few of the basic concepts of fluid dynamics, the concept of the velocity field, of streamlines, Bernoulli’s equation, and the basic structure of a well-formed vortex. While these topics are interesting in their own right, the subject is being discussed here to lay the foundation for many of the concepts that we will use in our discussion of electric and magnetic phenomena.
