Ali Gorski, una ex sergente militare pluridecorata, lavora come portiera nel complesso Carrington. Durante il fine settimana di Pasqua, mentre quasi tutti gli inquilini sono assenti e l'edificio è in ristrutturazione, viene messe in atto uno squallido complotto per rubare le opere d'arte di inestimabile valore nascoste nelle profondità delle mura del palazzo. Tuttavia, tra gli inquilini ancora rimasti vi sono anche i due nipoti di Ali, che si rende conto di essere lei la sola cosa a interporsi tra loro e i pericolosi ladri.
