A 19 track collection of one of the leading Chicago blues bands of that period (late 60's to early 70's)
"A microphone, a guitar, a bass, drums, and a I IV V progression. At its essence, that is blues, and this is what this compilation covers so well.
Even the pillars of blues--BB, Muddy, and the Wolf were modernizing their production, while Cream and Butterfield were cross breeding the music with jazz and raga.
Siegel-Schwall would evidently have none of it, and except for the clarity of audio, this material could have been recorded in 1950.
Pure, clean, and excellent (Amazon Review)"
