Written by Cherney Berg Format: MP3
This album was released in 1963, and featured the stories FRANKENSTEIN’S MONSTER TALKS! & DRACULA’S RETURN. I initially was going to upload a recording I took from my original album of this title, though I wasn’t really happy with the snaps and pops from the LP, though thankfully it was skip free. Then, by chance, I ran across a digitally remastered copy of these performances, which had been mysteriously re-titled and re-released on a separate label and CD…for kids (as if kids today would like or appreciate this)! It now sounds better than I have ever heard it before! If you love and remember this record as a child, you will be thrilled to hear how it sounds now.
One last note…there is another release of this album from the early 1990’s that was available through Famous Monsters magazine, originally priced at $20, now being sold on eBay for up to $75. My advice to you is FORGET IT! It sounds and looks like garbage. The stories were “mastered” (I use that term very loosely) from a terrible system, and a fuzzy copy of the LP. The album art was simply a lo-res copy of the album cover & back, folded up and stuffed in to the CD cover. Trust me, I wasted $25 of my hard earned cash to find out this was nothing but a monumental disappointment.
