Infectious Grooves are a funk band from Venice Beach, a suburb of Los Angeles, California. Founded in 1989 by Suicidal Tendencies members Mike Muir on vocals and Robert Trujillo on bass. The idea for Infectious Grooves came to them during the 1989 Suicidal Tendencies tour, where it turned out that both Mike and Robert were very fond of funk music: Parliament and Funkadelic were Mike's favorite performers since childhood, and Robert, before he appeared in Suicidal Tendencies, played in funk groups.
