Description:
Syne is a modular additive synthesizer that, according to the manufacturer, can play more than 20,000 particles. The number of particles depends on the computing power. Older processors with SSE3 can handle up to 15,000, newer computers with AVX2 support - more than 20,000. Each part can be controlled individually, for example via MIDI-CC, automation, LFO or envelope. The modular design provides access to more than 30 modules. Various functions are offered, as well as histories such as ring modulation, filter, vibrato, tremolo, pulse width modulation and so on. The modules store their own presets, which can then be recalled again. A surprising feature is the Wavetable import. With one click, you can create an arbitrary wavetable. Syne interpolates wavetables spectrally and then uses them in the sound synthesis. You can also use inharmonics from wavetables. Randomness plays a role in other ways too. With one click of a button the synthesizer generates new presets. And you can also mutate them into new presets.
