I like to read widely around any subject, which interests me. This miscellany of factual and fictional stories is centered largely around what is commonly referred to as the Classical World - an area I particularly enjoy.

There is little rationale in the selection of pieces, other than to say that I found each of them engaging in its own right. From Herodotus to Colleen McCullough, there is a wide range of styles; and credibility is not always restricted to (or even earned by) the older authors.
