GaGaGa SP is a punk band who originated in Kobe in the late 90’s, a place and time which honestly was not a hot-bed of mainstream success. Not for punk bands anyway. It would not be until the next decade, and after some changes in their line-up, that GaGaGa SP would begin to reach wider audiences due to some anime tie-ins, notably Naruto, a show which I’ve heard is kinda popular. Nonetheless they don’t seem well-known outside of their native country.
