Encoding Note:

→ The two BD sources of Full metal panic, the JP ver and the US ver, are both up-scaled from DVD, and after comparison, we conclude the US ver is slightly better than the JP ver. So we use the US ver BD for this BDRip, and also for the coming BDRips of S2+S3.

→ To counter the artifacts caused by the up-scale, we use inverse-bicubic(sharp) to reverse the BD to 720p, and then perform de-ringing, anti-aliasing and de-banding.

→ The MKV files contains the video and 2.0 Japanese audio, and the MKA files contains the 5.1 English audio and subtitle. Should you not require the English components, you may skip all the MKA files. This is for the sake of audience from non-English background, and most up-to-date video players should not have any problem handling MKA format.

→ For the screenshots below, we used non-ringing lanczos 4 to simulate how video players upscale the BDRip to 1080p, in order to make a fair comparison with BD source.
