Project notes:
Bats and Terry play basebell. And when they aren’t playing baseball, they’re riding on their bike and kicking ASS! In this movie, their ass-kicking is focused on defending a lady from gangsters.

Some items of notes: The manga won the Kodandsha Award for shounen manga in 1984. This was Sunrise’s first manga adaptation. It was shown as a double-bill with Dirty Pair: Project Eden, and there’s a preview for that at the end of the disc (as well as one for Wings of Honneamise).

So its surprising this was mastered so poorly. The picture quality isn’t great, and there’s a bad case of jitter. I was only partially successful in correcting the jitter issues, and doing so messed up the letterboxing, so I had to slice it out and rebuild it like I did for the Lensman movie (YES, I did it right this time).

Unfiltered high bitrate DVD conversion is included for archival purposes.
