Some of the LFE from the original broadcast was quite rough to extract this time around so a good portion of it was normalized with parametric EQs.

Some have asked me personally if there was a way to bitstream natively on from PS3 to receiver:

Short answer is yes but only via HDMI.

First you'll have go through the audio settings on the PS3 and uncheck all LCPM options except 2CH 44.1kHz and 2CH 48kHz

After that, place a check mark on Dolby Digital 5.1 and DTS 5.1

If you have the PS3 Slim model, you can also select DTS-HD MA and DTS-HD

The PS3 Slim model is the ONLY generation of the PS3 system that can bitstream DTS-HD MA and DTS-HD...some of you are probably wondering why your receiver's HD audio light never lit-up while watching BD movies XD

Anyway, that will set your PS3 to bitstream to your receiver and have your receiver do the decoding instead of the PS3. Otherwise the PS3 will do the decoding and send PCM data instead.

The benefits of this? To each there own! XD Although some receivers out there are sensitive to the meta data contained in the dolby digital/dts files and offers a variable range of dynamic audio control. And there some out there that like seeing the blue indicator light up LOL
