[Cifer] SCANDAL @ Billboard Live Osaka STORYTELLERS 1080p [HEVC/FLAC] torrent

This is not a simple encode of a BD/DVD.This is a project I've been working on for some weeks.

In case you didn't know, there are three STORYTELLERS sources available:

• MTV Broadcast. Has bad audio quality and was recorded on progressive scan although the concert was broadcasted on 1080i, which means there is a lot of interlacing and framerate

• DVD. Source is 480i, which means quality is horrible (by modern standards), but it has the best audio of the bunch (PCM 16 bit).

• SCANDAL Heaven's translation (Youtube). The only good thing about this one is the translation. The subs are hard to read, and the video has a lot of macroblocking due to bad compression.

As you can see, all three sources have pros and cons and there isn't a "definitive version". I wanted to watch it without sacrificing anything, so I figured I had to do it myself.

What I had to do in order to get the best quality was:

1) Cut off all the commercials from the MTV broadcast, make a somewhat smooth transition between the parts and sync them to the DVD's audio track.
2) Export the project to lossless interlaced to eliminate the interlacing later.
3) Recreate SCANDAL Heaven's subs line by line on Aegisub. I had to time the lines again, correct some grammar errors and create styles for each band member.
4) Encode the lossless project through Staxrip with my usual settings (x265, slow, CRF 18 and QTGMC if source is interlaced).
5) Add new chapter marks to the final encode.

So what I ended up with is this, which I consider is the best STORYTELLERS experience.
