This BD is a really bad upscale. It's absurdly oversharpened, with massive ringing and haloing. I tried fixing it with dehaloalpha, but I could only do so much

There is a strong argument to be made that the DVDs are better. I'd upscale the DVDs myself, but nyaa doesn't allow that.
