Storyline:


This Western loosely reimagines the life of legend William "Buffalo Bill" F. Cody (Joel McCrea), covering everything from his friendship with the Cheyenne to his rise to fame after journalist Ned Buntline (Thomas Mitchell) romanticized his exploits. Later in his life, Cody falls into obscurity in the wake of controversy and tragedy involving his wife, Louisa (Maureen O'Hara), and their son. He eventually regains his celebrity, however, when he joins a popular Wild West--themed sideshow.
