This uses the original SubsPlease track as a base, but is not necessarily an English-to-Tagalog secondary translation. Some Japanese words and phrases usually translate better to other Asian languages like Tagalog than English so I tried doing it that way whenever possible.
I intentionally opted to native equivalents on terms still in usage in Modern Tagalog but are commonly in Spanish or English loanwords on everyday conversations:
> university = unibersidad / pamantasan
> proof = pruweba / patunay
> Vice-Captain = Bise-Kapitan
> investigation = imbestigasyon / pagsisiyasat
> bus - bus
> comics - komiks
I opted to local honorifics for similar reasons. Asian languages like Tagalog actually are rich in honorifics, with which most are still used today:
> Christina-sama = Binibining Christina
> Alfred-sama = Ginoong Alfred
> Sir = Ginoo
However, I left the Spanish loanwords where they make much more sense and where there is either no local equivalent or no practical way to translate them further:
> lilac = lila
> knight = kabalyero
> castle = kastilyo
> Royal Academy = Real Academia (Medieval institutions had been and can still be referred to in Spanish)
