Yes, i totaly agree, and this is not the purpose here. Old animes should like what they are: a painted background with a cell on it.
I've a friend who is a cell collector, so i've seen directly with my own eyes what a painted background with a cell on it looks like.
And it doesn't look like an old degraded grainy film... So, this is what i try to achieve with these releases, restore what the painted background with the cell on it originaly looked like.
After, again, a matter of taste. If you like the grain added by the film for whatever reason, you'll not find your happiness here.
