The Hiroshi Kawaguchi Expedition Series aired between 1978 and 1985, and was portrayed as a real documentary, but always had fictional elements such as dinosaurs, monsters, and mysterious, uncontacted and frequently hostile tribes. Kawaguchi and his intrepid adventurers wore blue jumpsuits with the name of the expedition on the back. In this episode, Shin and his friends have "Omiya Special."

All of the things you see in the Railway Museum "tour" can actually be seen currently. With the exception of the secret mission control for the Ultra Evolution Institute Base. They just have a marker next to the staff entrance where you would go down the stairs. So who am I to say if there's a secret base in there or not?
